Another answer to Taybin's question about reading binary data, which I am
surprised no one has already brought up unless I missed it, is: "look in the
Icon Program Library, there are library routines to do this stuff".
Hmm, I wonder what else in the IPL might be immediately useful?
Maybe lots of stuff?
Among other places, the Icon Program Library is documented in a dense 90+
pages (Appendix B) of "Programming with Unicon", which some might view as
a companion/supplement handbook for Icon programmers. :-)
